Rabbi Yossi Friedman

Noted for being an exceptional teacher in Arizona, Rabbi Friedman joined the Cheder Lubavitch staff in August 2014. He is a phenomonal Chumash teacher and truly brings joy and excitement into learning.

Mrs. Chaya Levertov:

Originally from Florida, Chaya moved to Phoenix in 2013. Prior to teaching at Cheder Lubavitch AZ, Chaya taught at a girls school in New York. Chaya strives to instill a love of learning and Torah through teaching the weekly parsha in a fun environment, giving over the explanations of the holidays in an interactive and entertaining way, and bringing chassidus and our Rebbeim to the class in a real and tangible way. 

Mrs. Kristina Pham:

Mrs. Pham has a variery of academic degrees and is currently obtaining her PhD in Psychology of Cognition and Instruction. Her goal is to have a classroom where learning is fun and students are able to follow their individual interests along side of developing the skills that they need. 

  Mrs. Mary Urich (Educational Consultant) :

Mary Urich has been actively engaged in the field of education for over 35 years.  She is an experienced classroom teacher, school administrator, and adjunct faculty member.  Mary has held district leadership positions including Executive Director of Academic Services, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Special Education Services, Director of Pupil Personnel Services, Director of English Language Learner services, Principal and Assistant Principal.

As an Education Consultant and Professional Development Specialist, Mary works with schools and educational agencies in Arizona and across the country.  She has extensive experience and background in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, data analysis, English Language Development services, school improvement, differentiation for instruction, and Common Core Standards.
